GENERAL INFORMATION
Delta Zeta was founded at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio on October 24th, 1902. Since then, Delta Zeta has grown from 1 chapter to a 160 collegiate chapters and 200 alumnae chapters in the United States and Canada. Our organization encourages the pursuit of knowledge, promotes, the moral and social culture of its members, and helps sisters develop plans for guidance and unity in action."
Our chapter of Delta Zeta, Epsilon Sigma, was founded on September 15, 1956. Currently, our chapter has over 35 active women and always growing.
Epsilon Sigma is one of the four National Panhellenic sororities on Wayne State's campus. During recruitment, there are RHO GAMS, women from each sorority, who work together to help incoming women without creating a bias, thus we are all working together.
Every year, our chapter contributes to the 1902 Loyalty Society while getting full chapter involvement. This involvement goes toward the Delta Zeta Foundation to make it possible for active women in the sorority to obtain possible leadership training and scholarships.

OUR CREED
To the world,
I promise temperance, and insight, and courage
To crusade for justice,
To seek the truth and defend it always.
To those whom my life may touch in slight measure,
May I give graciously of what is mine.
To my friends, understanding and appreciation,
To those closer ones, love that is ever steadfast,
To my mind, growth,
To myself, faith
That I may walk truly in the light of the flame.
-Dorothy Mumford Williams, Alpha Zeta 1939
